Promise Amukamara´s career began in Apollo High School and she averaged 22 points per game and was named MVP multiple times.
In 2011, Promise Amukamara joined Arizona State and she was named 2 times Pac 12 All-Defensive Team and also once All-Pac 12 First Team.
In the 2014/15 season, Promise Amukamara averaged 10.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 and being selected with the 36th pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury.
Promise Amukamara started her professional career in Spain during the 2015/16 season and she averaged 7.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19 minutes per game with CREF Hola, shining against Mann Filter with 15 points and against Gran Canaria and Girona with 14 points.
Promise Amukamara signed in Germany during the 2016/17 season and she averaged 14.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 28 minutes per game with Osnabruck.
In the 2017/18 season, Promise Amukamara signed in Romania with Alexandria and she averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and +21.3 efficiency per game with 50% from the field and 41% from the 3 point line.
Promise Amukamara continued in Romania during the 2018/19 season and playing for Satu Mare she averaged 13.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and +16.1 efficiency per game with excellent 52% from the field and 35% in three pointers, reaching both the Romanian League and Cup Finals.
In August 2019, Promise Amukmara won the Gold Medal with Nigeria in the African Championship and she averaged 8.4 points, 3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 22 minutes per game.
In the 2019/20 season, Promise Amukamara signed with Charnay in French top division and she averaged 12.4 points (49% 2P | 42% 3P), 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and +12.6 efficiency per game.
