Aina Ayuso started playing basketball in Sant Just and also played later for Sarrià and Almeda.

At club level, Aina Ayuso finished the U14 Catalan Championship in 3rd position and the U14 Spanish Championship in 4th position during the 2012/13 season, being one of the best players in the Tournaments and receiving a scholarship to join Segle XXI in the 2013/14 season.

In August 2014, Aina Ayuso played and won the Friendship Tournament with the U15 Spanish National Team.

In the 2014/15 season and still as an U16 player, Aina Ayuso had her debut with Siglo XXI in Spanish 2nd division and she averaged 3.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 11 minutes per game.

Aina Ayuso played the U16 European Championship in 2015 with the Spanish National Team and reached the Semifinals, averaging 9.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Aina Ayuso was an impact player in Spanish 2nd division in the 2015/16 season and she averaged 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3.9 drawn fouls and +9.4 efficiency per game.

In the 2016 summer, Aina Ayuso played the U17 World Championship and she averaged 9.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 25 minutes per game, being the 5th best passer in the Championship.

Finally, in the 2016/17 season and as an U18 player, Aina Ayuso averaged 13 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 5.6 drawn fouls and +13 efficiency per game.

Aina Ayuso played the U18 European Championship in 2017 and she averaged 6.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2 assists in 19 minutes per game. In the same summer, Aina also played the U19 World Championship, averaging 3.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2 assists in 15 minutes per game.

In the 2017/18 season, Aina Ayuso joined Oregon and she won the Pac12 Championship and reached the NCAA Elite 8.

In the 2018 summer, Aina Ayuso won the Gold Medal in the U20 European Championship, averaging 8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and +10.6 efficiency in 20 minutes per game.

In the 2018/19 season, Aina Ayuso signed with Sant Adrià and she averaged 7.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 19 minutes per game in Spanish League. Later, Aina played the playoffs to Liga Femenina 1 with Barça CBS and she averaged 9.7 points and 4 rebounds in 22 minutes per game.

In the 2019 summer, Aina Ayuso played the U20 European Championship and she averaged 6.9 points, 3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and +10.3 efficiency, being the best passer of the Tournament.

In the 2019/20 season, Aina Ayuso signed with Mann Filter Zaragoza and she averaged 5.9 points, 4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and +7.5 efficiency in 27 minutes per game.

In the 2020/21 season, Aina Ayuso remained in Zaragoza and she averaged 3.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 19 minutes per game with Baloncesto Zaragoza, being also summoned by Lucas Mondelo for the Spanish senior national team.

In April 2021, Aina Ayuso was selected with the 34th pick in the WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks.

Aina Ayuso signed with Campus Promete in the 2021/22 season and she was one of the best point guards in Spanish top league, averaging 8.3 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game.

In the 2022/23 season, Aina Ayuso signed in Greece with Olympiacos and she averaged 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in the Euroleague and 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and +14.8 efficiency per game in Greek League, becoming Champion of such.

Aina Ayuso returned to Spain in the 2023/24 season, signing with Hozono Jairis and averaging 8.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.4 drawn fouls and +10.2 efficiency per game.
