Nevena Markovic played for Glenbard South High School and she broke the school records in points (38) and assists in a single game (11), being also awarded as conference MVP.
In the 2011/12 season, Nevena Markovic started her college career playing for IUPUI and she averaged 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 22 minutes per game.
Nevena Markovic had a big impact during the 2013/14 season, averaging 11.3 points and 6.4 rebounds in 21 minutes per game with excellent 34% from the 3 point line. In the 2014/15 season and already as a senior player, Nevena Markovic averaged 11.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in 21 minutes per game with 43% from the 3 point line, receiving an All-Summit Honorable mention.
Nevena Markovic started her professional career in Spain, signing with Gran Canaria for the 2015/16 season and averaging 7.5 points, 7 rebounds and +8.7 efficiency in 26 minutes per game, having great games against Gernika (25 points), Conquero (17 points 12 rebounds +28 efficiency) and Añares Rioja (15 points 15 rebounds +27 efficiency - MVP of the Week).
