The team East and North arrived to the victory in the second day of Barnaball Summer League at Castelldefels after defeated the West and Suth, respectively.
With these victories, the same teams East and North, who will face this Saturday from 16h in Sports Can Vinader in Castelldefels town, as the only chance of winning this Barnaball Summer League.
In the first match on Friday, the team coached by Borja Comenge won by 73-60 to West, with a first quarter that proved decisive and ended with a 18-6 that the West could not recover. Xavi Guirao, with 17 points, Jordi Bataller, with 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Sergi Pino, with 13 points, were the best of the East, while the West highlighted by Alex Hill with 19 points and Alex Sanmartín with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The same difference of 13 points won the North on the South team in the second match of the day (97-84). In the match with the most points so far in the disputed Barnaball, two figures stood out above the rest. For the North, Walter Hodge began to show a talent that already sensed in the first day and in training and went up 30 points and 5 rebounds from the position of point guard, for a valuation of 35, while Carl Damus, in the South, continues to merit to become the best inside player in the tournament, and finished with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 33 valuation. Notably, on the second day was the South team who had the reinforcement of the player ACB CB Granada, Nacho Martin, who finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes.
On the day this Saturday, not only decide the tournament champion, but also play an All Star, which will end the first edition of the Barnaball Summer League at Castelldefels.
As remarkable visit on Friday, the Barnaball was pleased by the presence in public as the first coach of FC Barcelona, champion of the recent ACB League, Xavier Pascual.
