Victory for the North Team in Barnaball and show in the All Star

The last day of Barnaball started on Saturday June 27 with the victory of the North Team on the East Team for 80-74, which gave him the chance to be the first champion of the first edition of Barnaball if the South Team defeated the West Team, as it did then.


In the first match, very even until the last minute, Marc Juanola with 20 points and 6 rebounds; Marc Maldonado, with 6 points and 12 rebounds, and Albert Masllorens with 17 points and 6 rebounds were the highlights of the East Team , while the winning team, the North Team, coached by Lluís Túnez, the best were the point guard Walter Hodge, 23 points, 6 rebounds and 27 valuation (he was the MVP of Barnaball); Richard Damus, with 16 points and 5 rebounds in 21 minutes; Dani Benítez, with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals and Dejan Cigoja with 13 points and 5 rebounds.

In the second match, the South did not give Team West Team to a choice and ended up winning by a resounding 101-59, giving the title to the North Team. Only Alex Hill with 18 points and 4 rebounds, and Jaime Garcia, more than 10 points for the West Team, while the South Team completed a spectacular game with 20 points and 9 rebounds for Tasha Carr; 17 points and 16 rebounds for Carl Damus; 12 points for Felix Lopez; Carlos Fernandez with 15 points; 10 points and 9 rebounds for Marc Maldonado; and 14 points and 6 rebounds for Alexander Andreev.

The All Star became the starting point and end of the first edition of Barnaball, in a match where the dunks (17 total) and the spectacular plays that were more common defenses. Finally, the White Team won 109-97 against the Blue Team. The first David Marek, with 15 points, Fabio Fernandes, 12; Carl Damus, with 15; Richard Damus, with 13; Marc Juanola, with 26 (including 4 three points shots) and Alexander Andreev, 12, as most outstanding player and the second with Walter Hodge, 19, Alex Hill, 16; Tasheed Carr, 16, and Jaime Garcia, 17, as best scorers.

In paragraph awards, apart from the final team, which was proclaimed champion North Team against East Team in particular average, the MVP was point guard Walter Hodge, who took a clear progression from less to more during the tournament, the leading scorer and rebound ended up being the center Carl Damus, the best defender was Fabio Fernandes; David Marek best passer; and best junior Marc Juanola.
