Tynikki Crook signs one more year with Gernika KESB
Gernika KESB has extended american post player Tynikki Crook for one more year after her brilliant 2011-12 season in which she averaged 17.3 points and 9.1 rebouns with an impressive 20.3 in efficiency per game.
Tynikki Crook will continue being coached by Mario Lopez in which will be her second season in Spain, with the goal of keep progressing in her game and helping the team presided by Gerardo Candina to have a good season.

It was one of the main goals of Gernika KESB for their second season in silver category of women basketball and the Club has been able to keep ‘Ty’ Crook.
The post, born in Detroit, was the key player of team during last season both in scoring and in rebounding.
Crook averaged 17,29 points,
becoming the third best scorer in the conference after Arantxa Novo and Marta Zurro.
Tynikki also averaged 9.1 rebounds and 20.3 in efficiency per game.
Despite that the rest of the teams recognize Tynikki´s obvious skill level, Crook has decided to continue under coach Mario López.
The coach is happy for the signing of Tynikki and says: “We wanted to have her because of the confidence that she gives us in many things, points, rebounds.. We expect her second season to be even better than her first one”.
With this renewal, the team under president Gerardo Candina will keep 7 players and the roster is full with the following names:

Crook is a strong 1,85m american power forward with a brilliant college
career at Marshall University where she averaged 16,2 points and 9,2
rebounds per game in her senior year.
Tynikki´s career starts at
John J. Pershing High School where she averages 15 points 13 rebounds
and 3 blocks per game and recieves many awards that help her to recieve a
full scholarship at Marshall after having also offers top lay for
Indiana, Marquette, Wisconsin and Oakland.
Tynikki Crook had her
debut at Marshall in the 2007-08 season and already as a freshman she
averaged 8,3 points and 6,1 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
raises her numbers in the 2008-09 season up to 13,1 points 7,3 rebounds
and 1,5 blocks in 24 minutes per game, being named in the Third Team in
the USA Conference.
Tynikki Crook has another good year in the
2009-10 season, averaging 13,4 points 7,7 rebounds and 1,5 blocks in 23
minutes per game and she is again named in the Third Team in the USA
In the 2010-11 season and already as a senior player,
Tynikki averages 16,2 points and 9,2 rebounds in 29 minutes per game,
being named in the Second Team in Usa Conference.
In the 2011-12
season, Tynikki Crook signed with Gernika, in Spanish LF2, averaging
17.2 points 9.1 rebounds and 20.2 in efficiency per game.
Crook is an inside player with great strength and specially with a big
leaping ability that allows her to finish easily specially inside the
paint and against bigger players.
