Riquna Williams signs in United Arabs Emirates with Al Nasr Sports Club

American Riquna Williams has signed for the remainder of season 2015-16 with Al Nasr Sports Club, the current United Arabs Emirates First Division Champion.

Riquna Williams arrives to Al Nasr after two sensational months with the Turkish Adana ASKI, averaging 18.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in the Turkish KBSL and 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in Eurocup, being their main outside threat.

Last summer, Riquna Williams also had a spectacular season in WNBA 2015 with Tulsa Shock in which she averaged 15.1 points per game and played in the All Star game for the first time.

Riquna Williams will travel today and her debut with Al Nasr will be next week.

Riquna Williams is one of the best scorers in the world and holds the WNBA record with 51 points in a single game (against San Antonio 2013), also averaging 15.6 points per game in 21 minutes during that season, helping her to be awarded as 6th Player of the Year.

The American guard also has overseas experience after playing in Slovakia (14.5 points per game in Euroleague with Kosice), Israel (21.7 points per game with Rishon), Italy (14.7 points per game with Ragusa) and Turkey (18.1 points per game in Adana ASKI)

Riquna Williams Highlights WNBA 2015

Riquna Williams's career began in Pahokee High School, where she averaged 32.5 points in her senior year.

In the 2008-09 season, playing as a freshman for the University of Miami, Riquna averaged 8.7 points per game, including 23 points against Clemson.

In the 2009-10 season and as a sophomore, Riquna Williams averaged 19.6 points per game and emerged as one of the best scorers in the country, scoring 27 or more points in eight games and being named in the All-ACC Second Team.

In the 2010-11 season, Riquna averaged 21.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, being included in the All-ACC First Team.

In her senior year, Riquna averaged 16.6 points for Miami, ending finishing her college career with an average of 16.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Riquna Williams was selected with the 17th pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft by the San Antonio Silver Stars, being later traded to the Tulsa Shock.

In her first season in WNBA, Riquna averaged 10.5 points and 1.6 steals in 20 minutes a game, being one of the best players in steals and being included in the All-Rookie Team.

In the 2012-13 season, she played her first season in Europe with the Good Angels Kosice in Slovakia where she averaged 14.5 points and 2.2 steals per game in Euroleague.

In January of 2013 she moved to Israel and averaged 21.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game with Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion.

Back into the WNBA, playing forTulsa Shock in 2013 she averaged 15.6 points in 21 minutes per game, beating the record in history in a WNBA game with 51 points against San Antonio.

Riquna was also named Sixth Woman of the Year.

In the 2013-14 season, Riquna Williams played in Italy for Virtus Eirene Ragusa, averaging 14.7 points and 7 rebounds per game, reaching the semifinals in the Italian Cup and being Finalist in League with a newly promoted team.
