Virgin Islander guard Natalie Day has signed with
RegeneracomSports, choosing us as her agency for the coming seasons.
Natalie Day is a 1.82m guard born in U.S
Virgin Islands in 1990, that has an excellent NCAA career with Portland,
averaging 17.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game in her senior year
(2011-12) and also has experience in many European leagues, where she has been a
clear offensive threat, averaging 18.1 points in the Greek league, 24.6 points
in the Danish league and 17.6 points in the Finnish league.
Natalie Day's NCAA career started in the
2008-09 season with Howard, where just being a Freshman had 7.2 points and 4.8
rebounds per game.
Due to her solid year, in the following season
Natalie changed her University and signed with Portland, where became the
starting guard and contributed with 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals
In the summer of 2010, Natalie was selected for
the senior U.S. Virgin Islands National Team and played the American
Centrobasket Championships, where being her debut already contributed with 8.8
points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game, shining against Guatemala
with 21 points and 8 rebounds.
In the season 2010-11, Natalie continued with
her strong progression in Portland and averaged 14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and
1.7 steals per game, helping her college to reach the West Coast Conference
In the summer of 2011, Natalie returned with
her National Team to play the Caribbean Championships, where again she had a
great contribution with an average of 25.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists
and 3.3 steals per game, becoming the second best scorer, the third best
rebounder, the fifth best player in assists and the second best player in
steals per game. In that tournament, her National Team won the Bronze Medal and
she excelled against St. Vincent and the Grenadines with 36 points, 8 rebounds
and 7 assists, against Trinidad and Tobago with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3
assists and against Bahamas with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Senior year of Natalie Day in Portland was
amazing as she scored 17.8 points, grabbed 8.1 rebounds, stole 2.1 balls per
game and led her team until the semifinals of their conference. Furthermore,
Natalie had a great shooting selection averaging 49.5% from the field and 43.7%
in three pointers.
In the summer of 2012, Natalie returned to her
National team, this time to play the American Centrobasket Championships where
she contributed with 13.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game and stood out
against Trinidad and Tobago with 21 points and 9 rebounds and against Cuba with
19 points and 7 rebounds.
After finishing her University career, Natalie
started her professional one, in the 2012-13 season, signing with Hyvinkaan
Ponteva of the Finnish First Division League, where the guard had amazing stats
with 17.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
In the summer of 2013, Natalie played the
Puerto Rican top division with Gigantes de Carolina, team who reached the
semifinals with Natalie adding 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. In the
Puerto Rican league, she excelled against Mayaguez with 20 points in 10 minutes
and against Gurabo with 17 points in 21 minutes.
In the summer of 2014, Natalie played the
Caribbean Championships with her National side, where the U.S. Virgin Islands
won the Bronze Medal, with Natalie as a key contributor averaging 15.8
points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 2.8 blocks per game and became the fifth
best scorer, the third best rebounder, the best player in blocks and the best
player in steals per game of the tournament. In that championship, Natalie
shone against Barbados with 25 points and 8 rebounds, against Bahamas with 17
points and 17 rebounds and against Jamaica with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Furthermore, in that summer the guard also
played the American Centrobasket Championships where her National Team ended up
being semifinalist and Natalie had again a great tournament with 18.2 points
and 13.6 rebounds per game, excelling against Jamaica with 24 points and 18
rebounds and against Cuba with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
In the season 2014-15, Natalie returned to
Europe signing with Lemvig VB of the Danish First Division League, where she
stood up in all the game aspects being the top scorer, the top rebounder, the
second best player in assists, the second best player in steals and the second
best player in blocks of the competition, as she averaged 24.6 points, 13.6
rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. With Lemvig VB, the
guard reached the semifinals of the competition and had amazing games against
Amager with 37 points, 15 rebounds, 5 steals and +50 efficiency and against
Horsholm with 36 points, 17 rebounds and +49 efficiency.
In the summer of 2015 with her National Team,
Natalie played the Caribbean Championships where she won the Bronze Medal
and averaged 12.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, shining
against Bahamas with 15 points and 16 rebounds and against Barbados with 14
points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
In that summer, Natalie also competed in the
American Championships, where again she had a great tournament contributing
with 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and stood up against Argentina with
21 points and 14 rebounds and against Brazil with 16 points and 6 rebounds.
In this current season, the Virgin Islander guard has signed with GS Kronos Agiou Dimitriou in the Greek First Division
League, where again has excelled being the third top scorer and the fourth best
player in steals of the competition, averaging 18.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.7
assists and 2.2 steals per game. With her GS Kronos Agiou Dimitriou she has reached
the league quarter finals and has had outstanding performances against Niki
Lefkadas with 29 points, 20 rebounds and +34 efficiency, against Olympiakos
Pireus with 33 points, 10 rebounds and +30 efficiency and against Ippokratis
with 17 points, 17 rebounds and +29 efficiency.
