Miriam Forasté, 1,90m catalan player and international with U20 Spanish National Team has come to an agreement with Ciudad Ros Casares for the 2011-12 season.
After having an impressive first season in Spanish Liga Femenin 2 with CBF Sarriá – Grupo Consultoria, where she averaged 11 points 5,3 rebounds and 13,2 in efficiency, Miriam will probably be again with the U20 Spanish National Team that will play the U20 European Championship in Serbia from July the 7th, 2011 until July the 17th, 2011 and will try to get a medal after winning the Silver Medal in the 2010 edition.
Míriam is a player with great basketball conditions that we hope that she will be able to develop in Ciudad Ros Casares, sharing team with some of the best backcourt players in the world like Silvia Dominguez, Kata Honti, Laia Palau, Shay Murphy, Jana Vesela and also with Maya Moore after Christmas.
Miriam stats a new chapter in which she will try to move her game to the small forward position after shining as power forward both in youth teams and in Spanish second division.
Additionally, signing in Valencia will allow her to continue with her university studies, key for her future.
No doubt that it´s going to be a big challenge for Miriam and she knows about how difficult it will be trying to have some playing time in this amazing roster but she also knows that it will be a good opportunity for her to learn from her teammates and from coach Hejkova and specially to know first hand how high level profesional basketball works, looking forward to her evolution and future in the next years.
On the other side Ciudad Ros Casares signs a player with big upside and also her spanish nationality helps the club to fulfill easier the Spanish League rules about nationalies.
Our Agency wants to congratulate Miriam for the option of living this experience and wishes her and her club the best of lucks for the upcoming season.
