Licet Castillo has signed in Germany with Eisvögel USC Freiburg

Cuban international guard (with Spanish passport - Bosman A) Licet Castillo has signed for the remainder of season 2015-16 with Eisvögel USC Freiburg, who is competing in the German First Division League.

Licet Castillo arrives in Freiburg after playing last season with Spanish First Division League's Campus Promete, averaging 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists in 26 minutes per game, while providing great experience on the court.

Licet Castillo's debut will be on the 9th of January in Freiburg against Osnabruck.

Cuban international guard, who also possesses Spanish passport, has had a vast career playing at a high level and with more than 20 years experience as a professional, has disputed four World Championships and two Olympic Games.

Licet Castillo participated in the 1989 World Junior National Team Cuba, where she averaged 14.7 points.

The following summer, in 1990, and with the Absolute National Team of Cuba, Licet Castillo won the Bronze Medal in World Championship in Malaysia.

In 1992, Cuba Licet Castillo participated in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Returning to engage with Cuba in a World Cup in 1994 in Australia, where Licet Castillo averaged 9.1 points.

In 1997 Licet Castillo won the Silver Medal at the Universiade in Sicily with the National Team of Cuba.

The following year, in 1998, Licet Castillo averaged 18.1 points and 5.4 assists in the World Cup.

In the summer of 1999, Licet Castillo won the Gold Medal at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg with the National Team of Cuba.

The following summer, Licet Castillo participated in the 2000 Sydney Olympics with the national team of Cuba, where she averaged 9.3 points.

In 2002 Licet Castillo participated in the World from China where she averaged 8.7 points.

In the summer of 2003, Licet Castillo won the Gold Medal at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo with the National Team of Cuba where she averaged 7.4 points.

In 2005, Licet Castillo participated in the FIBA Americas with the National Team Cuba where she averaged 6.2 points.

In 2006 Licet Castillo landed in Europe, to play with the EKK Cegledi First Division from Hungary, where she averaged 22.4 points, 5 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 3.9 steals per game.

The following season, 2007-08, with the BSE Budapest, also in Hungary, Licet Castillo averaged 15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 5.2 steals.

The following year, Licet Castillo came to Spain from the hand of Mariana Joventud Soller Women's League, qualifying for the Copa de la Reina and the Play Offs for the title, finishing with an average of 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Check the 2009-10 season, Licet Castillo joined Cadi La Seu d'Urgell, where she averaged 11.2 points, 3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Spanish League.

The following season, Licet Castillo played again with Cadi La Seu d'Urgell, where she averaged 9.7 points and 2.8 rebounds.

In the 2011-2012 season Licet Castillo joined the Fundación Promete in Women League 2, in averaging 13.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

The following year, in the 2012-13 season, Licet Castillo continue on Fundación Promete where she averaged 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds.

In the 2013-14 season, Licet Castillo played her third season with Fundación Promete, where she averaged 14 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists, qualifying for the ascent phase, which would eventually achieving promotion to Women's League.

This last season, 2014-15, Licet Castillo as averaged 9.7 points 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in Spanish top division playing for Campus Promete during the 2014-15 season.

Licet shone with 28 points and +28 efficiency and with 21 points and +23 efficiency in the games against Zamarat and with 21 points and +20 efficiency against Uni Girona, the spanish champion.
