Jazz Covington, fourth best player in efficiency in Spanish 1st Division in 2009-10, will play again in Spain after signing with Mann Filter Zaragoza. Jazz played the last season in France, averaging 14 points and 5,5 rebounds for Union Hainaut.
This will be the second spanish experience for Jazz Covington and together with Jacinta Monroe, Romana Vynuchalova and Jaklin Zlatanova make an impressive frontcourt.
With Jazz´s signing, Mann Filter completes their 2011-12 oster that will have a totally spanish backcourt with Cristina Ouviña, Queralt Casas, Maria Revuelto, Blanca Marcos, Estela Royo and Maria Pina.

She is a fast, athletic and strong post that knows how to use her body. She also has a nice shot from mid and long range and has had good percentages during her entire career".
Jazz Covington is a 1,85m american power forward who after a brilliant career at Louisville has had her european experiences in Switzerland and Finland before exploding in Spanish 1st division in the 2009-2010 season with 16 points 7,2 rebounds and 19,1 in efficiency, being the fourth best player in the whole league.
Jazz ended her high school senior season averaging 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, numbers that helped her being name All-American and in the best five of the state.
Jazz Covington joins the prestigious University of Louisville in the 2003-2004 season , and as a rookie, she averages 16.1 points and 8,2 rebounds per game. She is included in the best five of the conference.. As a sophomore, Jazz raises her numbers to 17.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, being named the best five of conference USA.
In the 2005-2006 season, Jazz averaged 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds, being Louisville leading scorer. That year, Louisville had as a rookie player the 1st pick of the 2009 WNBA Draft, Angel McCoughtry.
In the 2006-2007 season, already as a senior player, Jazz Covington contributes with 10.7 points and 7 rebounds per game helping her team to sign an excellent overall season with 27 wins and only 8 losses.
Jazz Covington had her first European experience playing for Elfic Fribourg, in Switzerland. There she averaged 21.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game during the league and 26.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in the Cup.
Jazz played for S-Hameenmaa , who plays in the Finnish 1st division, during the 2008-2009 season. Again her numbers were impressive: 20.2 points and 13.9 rebounds per game. She was the top rebounder in the league and also the top player in efficiency overall.
Jazz Covington signs with Cadí la Seu in Spanish 1st division in the 2009-10 season. Jazz averages 16 points 7,2 rebounds and 19,1 efficiency with 60% from the field and 40% in three pointers , being the 4th player with more efficiency in the whole league, only after Sancho Lyttle, Erika de Souza and Shay Murphy.
Also she was included in the 2nd best five of the League and in the Best import team. Jazz shines with 20points 6 rebounds and 29efficiency against Mann Filter, 22 points and 15 rebounds with 29 efficiency and 28 points and 28 efficiency in both games against Euroleague team Rivas Ecopolis, 17 points 10 rebounds and 36 efficiency against Estudiantes, 24 points 10 rebounds and 28 efficiency against Canarias and 24 points 9 rebounds and 32 efficiency against Olesa.
Jazz Covington signed with Union Hainaut, in French 1st division during the 2010-11 season, averaging 14 points and 5,5 rebounds per game and shining against Bourges with 19 points and against Tarbes with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
