American post player Jacinta Monroe has been named MVP of the Week in Spanish Liga Femenina after an excellent game with 21 points 14 rebounds and +38 in efficiency in the important win of SPAR Uni Girona over Cadí ICG Software 81 to 52.

During the 2006-07 season and as a freshman player, Jacinta was named in the best rookie team in ACC and averaged 8,1 points and 6 rebounds in 23 minutes per game.
Jacinta increased her production during her sophomore year with 10,2 points 6,2 rebounds and 2,5 blocks per game in 22 minutes and improves in her junior year with 13,1 points 7,4 rebounds and 2,5 blocks per game being named in the second best team in ACC and in the best defensive team.
During the 2009 summer, Jacinta played the University World Championship in Belgrade with United States National Team and averaged 7,3 points 4,9 rebounds per game, being also World Champion.
