DVTK Miskolc has signed our player Italee Lucas who will become a big threat for the oponents of the team coached by Maikel López
After a superstar career at North Carolina, Italee Lucas was drafted with the 21st pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft and played the 2013-14 season for Interclube Luanda (Angola) with whom she won the African Clubs Champions League, being named also the MVP of this competition.
Italee, who has WNBA experience with the Tulsa Shock, had a good impact in Spanish Top division during the 2012-13 season in which she avearged 17.9 points 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
Italee Lucas career starts at Centennial High School where she won the State championship in 2006, scoring 42 points in the final after averaging 22.8 points 5.2 rebounds 8.6 assists and 4.6 steals per game during the season.
Italee Lucas won the State championship again in 2007, averaging 24.6 points 9 rebounds 3.4 assists and 3.5 steals as a senior.
Due to her success at high school level, Italee Lucas played for the U18 United States National Team, winning the Gold medal in the 2006 American Championship after averaging 10.8 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes per game.
One year later, Italee Lucas won the Gold Medal in the U19 World Championship 2007.
Italee Lucas also won the 3 point shooting contest in McDonald´s JamFest and was named in the All-America First Team.
After finishing in High School, Italee Lucas played for North Carolina and exploded already in her sophomore year, averaging 13.9 points 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game with 39.3% in 3pointers and shining against Wake Forest with 27 points or in the ACC Semifinals against Maryland with 26.
In the 2009-10 season and as a junior, Italee Lucas averaged 14.7 points 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, being named in the ACC Second Team.
Italee Lucas broke the record for more scored three-pointers in a single game (8) and scored 29 points against Michigan State, 28 against Georgia Tech and 33 against North Carolina State.
In the 2010-11 season and already as a senior, Italee Lucas averaged 16.2 points 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, shining against Iowa with 34 points and being named in the ACC First Team.
Italee Lucas was selected in the 21st pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock.
Her first european experience arrived in the 2011-12 season, averaging 9.5 points in 21 minutes per game for Bnot Hasharon in Israel.
Italee Lucas started the 2012-13 season in Satu Mare, averaging 17.2 points 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists with 41.1% in three pointers and 18 points 4.5 rebounds 3.5 assists and 19 efficiency in 21 minutes per game in FIBA Cup.
In January 2013, Italee Lucas signed in Spanish top division with Hondarriba Irún, averaging 17.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and shining against Canarias with 27 points, Euroleague Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca with 22 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists, 22 against Conquero and 21 against Sedis Cadí.
In the 2013 summer, Italee Lucas signed a training camp with the Tulsa Shock.
In the 2013-14 season, Italee Lucas signed with Inter-Clube Luanda in Angola, winning the African Championship, the African Super Cup and the African Champions Cup, being also named as the MVP.
