Adaeze (Daisy) Alaeze is a 1.78 American guard with Nigerian passport born in
1994, with NCAA experience in Virginia Commonwealth University where she
averaged 11.6 points, 6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game in her
senior year (2015-16), in which Virginia Commonwealth reached the semifinals of
the Atlantic 10.
Adaeze Alaeze’s basketball career began in
Roland Park High School from Baltimore, where during her four years she was the
key contributor and scored 1457 points. Furthermore, she will be forever

started to play for Virginia Commonwealth University in the 2012-13 season and
as a freshman she averaged 4.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals
per game. In addition to that, the guard finished the year with great form,
with double figures in three of her 10 last games, and also she excelled
against Dayton with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists.
In the following year, Adaeze got more influential
in her team and contributed with 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Furthermore, Adaeze had a good three points shooting percentage with 29.6% and
shone against Massachusetts with 21 points and a perfect 8 of 8 from the field.
The 2014-15 was the stand-out year for Adaeze
Alaeze as she became the starting guard of the Virginia’s team and doubled her
stats ending up with 10.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. In
addition, she scored 21 points on three occasions against UNCG, Davidson and
George Mason. With her contributions her Virginia Commonwealth finished the
season being the third best team of the Atlantic 10.
In this current season Adaeze has continued
starting the games with Virginia’s team and has improved her stats averaging
11.6 points, 6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game. The Baltimore
guard has shone against UNC Wilmington with 22 points and 7 rebounds, against
Massachusetts with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and against Saint Louis
with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. With her strong influence, her
Virginia Commonwealth has reached the semifinals of their conference.
