Anna Carbó signs with RegeneracomSports

We are very happy to announce that Anna Carbó, one of the best players in Spain, has decided to sign with RegeneracomSports and to entrust us her professional basketball career for the next seasons.

Anna Carbó is a 1.76m international shooting guard born in 1988 who won 3 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals in European Championships (best european SG in U18) and who has lots of experience in Spanish top division where she is averaging 9.0 points and +7.7 efficiency with 40.6% from the 3 point line for Spar Citylift Girona, current 2nd best team in Spain with 19 wins and 3 losses and who defeated Perfumerías Avenida (top 8 team in Europe) twice this season.

Anna started playing basketball in Boet Mataró from where she moved to Univerisitari Barcelona where she was until she was 16 years old.

From there, Anna moved to Mataró Basket, and during all those years she was a dominant player winning multiple championships in Spain and  in Catalunya.

Anna Carbó was also an important part of the Spanish National team, playing her first official championship in 2003, in the U16 European Championship where she averaged 6.9 points in 22 minutes per game, finishing in 4th position.

In the 2004 summer, Anna Carbó played again the u16 European Championship, averaging 5.6 points in 21 minutes per game and winning the Gold Medal.

One year later, Anna Carbó played the U18 European Championship and she averaged 11.6 points and 4.9 rebounds for Spain, winning the Silver Medal.

During that season Anna Carbó had her debut in Liga Femenina 2, averaging 10.3 points in 22 minutes per game, numbers that she improved in her U18 year with 15.3 points 5.3 rebounds and +14.1 efficiency per game.

In the 2006 Summer, Anna Carbó won the Gold Medal in the U18 European Championship layed in Tenerife, averaging 12.9 points and 6 rebounds per game with 42.9% from the 3 point line and was selected in the best 5 of the Campionship.

Anna especially shone in the most important games that is in the quarterfinals (20 points and 13 rebounds), semifinals (15 points) and in the final against Serbia (17 points 5 rebounds) being the leading scorer in a team that also had Alba Torrens, Laura Nicholls or Tamara Abalde.

In the 2006-07 season Anna had her debut in Spanish top division, playing for USP CEU - Adecco Estudiantes and averaging 6.4 points in 18 minutes per game with 38% from 3 point range.

That summer, Anna Carbó played the U19 World Championship in Brastislava, finishing in 4th position and averaging 8.4 points per game.

She also played the U20 European Championship in Sofia, averaging 9.8 points per game and winning the Gold Medal.

Anna Carbó played her second season in Liga Femenina for Arranz-Jopisa Burgos where she averaged 2.9 points in 11 minutes per game.

In the 2008 summer, Anna Carbó was again the top scorer of the Spanish U20 team with 13.3 points in 26 minutes per game, finishing the European Championship in fourth position.

Anna returned to Catalunya during the 2008-09 season, playing for Argon Uni Girona in LF2 and averaging 13.7 points and +15.2 efficiency with 58% from the field.

Anna Carbó played the playoffs and moved to 1st division with Uni Girona after averaging 13 points 4.2 rebounds and +15.7 efficiency with 66% from the field.

Anna signed again with Girona in the 2009-10 season and averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 27 minutes in 1st division, finishing in 5th position.

Anna Carbó completed her third year with Uni Girona in the 2010-11 season, averaging 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in 24 minutes per game and finishing in 5th place again.

Anna had her best games against Sóller (21 points, 6 rebounds and +26 efficiency) and Hondarribia (17 points 9 rebounds +26 efficiency).

Anna Carbó continued to improve her game and in the 2011-12 season averaged 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 27 minutes per game with Uni Girona who qualified for the playoffs for the title and the Queen´s Cup.

In the 2012-13 season, Anna Carbó played also with the Uni Girona, playing the Super Cup and qualifying again for the Queen´s Cup.

Again, Anna was a crucial player for Girona, averaging 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and +12.7 efficiency  per game with 53% from the field in 28 minutes per game, playing good semifinals against Perfumerías Avenida (9 points 6 rebounds +15.5 efficiency).

Anna excelled in League against Caja Rural (14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and +28 efficiency), UNB Obenasa (15 points, 5 rebounds and +23 efficiency) and against Cadi ICG Software (16 points and +18 efficiency).

Anna Carbó renewed with Uni Girona in the 2013-14 season, averaging 8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, finishing the league in fifth position.

During the season Anna excelled in games against Gipuzkoa UPV (17 points) and against Bembibre and Mann Filter (16 points each).

Anna Carbó played for the West Adelaide Bearcats in the Australian ABL during the 2014 summer, averaging 18.2 points 8.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.

In the 2014-15 season, Anna Carbó extended her contract with Spar Citylift Girona and averaged 9 points and +7.7 efficiency in 28 minutes per game in a team that finished the League in 2nd position with 19 wins and only 3 losses and beat twice Perfumerias Avenida.
