Amber Holt scores 19 points in South Korea for Samsung Life Bichumi

Versatile american player Amber Holt had today her first real game in South Korea in the close match in which her team, Samsung Life Bichumi, lost in the last moment against KB Stars 58 to 57.

Amber Holt has scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a nice duel against the also american WNBA players Monique Currie (20 points) and Marissa Coleman (2 points).

Currently the League in South Korea is one of the best financially for the imports and this season for the first time each team can sign two, in most cases WNBA players like Tina Thompson, Shekinna Stricklen or until recently Monica Wright.

Amber Holt is a versatile 3-4 american with a great career both in Euroleague
(46 games) and in WNBA (140 games and 96 as starter) where she arrived after being drafted as the 9th pick in 2008 WNBA Draft following an amazing senior year at Middle Tennesse State with 27.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

Amber Holt career started in Meadowcreek HS where she averaged 19.1 points 7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in her senior year.

After she moved to Southeastern Illinois College where she averaged 20.3 points 10.9 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game in 2004-05 and 20.2 points 9.5 rebounds 4.5 assists and 4 steals in 2005-06.

In the 2006-07 season, Amber joined Middle Tennessee State University, averaging 16.7 points 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.

In the 2007-08 season and as a senior, Amber was the best scorer in the whole country with 27.4 points per game (shining in the win against LSU with 41 points or with 44 points against Louisiana-Monroe) adding also 8.1 rebounds per game.

After her amazing senior season, Amber Holt was drafted with the 9th pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun, averaging 6.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game and being named in the First Rookie Team.

In the 2008-09 season, Amber Holt had her debut in Europe, signing with Sopron and averaging 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in Hungarian League (Champion) and 11.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in Euroleague, reaching the Final Four and shining in the Semifinals against Salamanca with 21 points and 6 rebounds.

In the 2009 sumer, Amber Holt averages 6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in the WNBA again with the Connecticut Sun.

Amber returns to Sopron in the 2009-10 season and averages 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in League and 13.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in Euroleague, shining with 18 points and 7 rebounds in the win against Rivas and with 17 points and 8 rebounds against Prague, being also the 6th best player in Euroleague in FG % with 60%.

In the 2010 summer, Amber Holt signs with Tulsa Shock, averaging 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in the WNBA.

Amber signs again with Sopron in the 2010-11 season and averages 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds winning the Hungarian Championship and 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in Euroleague, shining with 22 points in the win against Gdynia or with 23 points and 5 rebounds against UMMC Ekaterinburg.

In the 2011 summer, Amber Holt returns to the Tulsa Shock, averaging 7 points 3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

In the 2011-12 season, Amber Holt signed in Poland with Lider Pruszkow, averaging 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

In January she moved to Israel, signing with Ramat Hasharon and averaging 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, being Finalist in the Cup and Semifinalst in Israelian League.

In the 2012 summer, Amber Holt returns to the Tulsa Shock and averages 5.8 per game.

Amber returns to Sopron in the 2012-13 season, averaging 7.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in Euroleague and 10 points and 4.8 rebounds in Hungarian League, being Champion both in League and Cup.

During her seasons in Hungary, Amber Holt has been named multiple times as best player in the Championship, League 1st Team, Defensive Player of the Year and Best import.
